Read Bio

Stephen is a partner at PwC New Zealand leading the firm’s Forensic Services and Leadership Development practices. He is PwC’s Ethics & Business Conduct Lead.

Stephen’s early career was in the New Zealand Police and after qualifying as a detective he moved to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) as an investigator. After leaving the SFO, Stephen had two senior roles in leadership development, and joined PwC in 2012.

Stephen’s involvement with Sarcoma started with a diagnosis of a soft tissue sarcoma in June 2020 where he became acutely aware of the need for information and is told he wasn’t backward in asking for it. He brings his professional business experience and Sarcoma journey to the Trust, in the hope that awareness and education will improve outcomes and lower anxiety for those who are diagnosed and undergoing treatment.  Previously a daily walker, for exercise, the removal of the sarcoma from his leg challenged that habit, and he is now back to the distance walking he previously enjoyed.
