Help shape support for people newly diagnosed with sarcoma
Have you finished treatment for sarcoma in the last two years? The University of Auckland is looking for Māori and Pacific adults to help co-design supportive care for people between a sarcoma diagnosis and surgery.
What is the project?
Getting a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, with so much information coming at once. Additionally, this project connects people who have lived with cancer to shape information and support. The effort supports psychosocial wellbeing, exercise and nutrition, helping others facing diagnosis, including for sarcoma cancer research.
Who can take part?
Māori and Pacific adults who have finished treatment for sarcoma within the last two years.
How does it work? Participants can join via Zoom, so you can attend from anywhere in Aotearoa. A $50 Woolworths voucher is given as koha for each session you attend.
Next session
Thursday 26 November, 10.30am to 12.30pm (NZ time), on Zoom.
